Simon Says Week 6- Feb 15, 2026
This powerful message takes us to the day of Pentecost, exactly fifty days after Jesus's resurrection, when Peter, the same man who had denied Christ three times in his darkest hour, stood before thousands and preached the first Christian sermon. What makes this moment so remarkable is the transformation we witness: from a disciple drowning in shame to a bold proclaimer of truth. The central lesson here is profound: we don't have to make a bed in our shame when God's fountain of grace is flowing our way. Peter's sermon in Acts 2 teaches us that walking in our anointing and calling requires two essential elements: a deep foundation in Scripture and the empowering presence of the Holy Spirit. Peter quoted Joel, Psalms, and Isaiah from memory, weaving God's Word into his message with precision and power. The result? Three thousand people gave their lives to Christ that day. For us, this means we must become students of God's Word, allowing it to shape our thoughts, guide our actions, and inform our witness. But Scripture alone isn't enough—we need the Holy Spirit's power to live out our calling. The same Spirit who sealed our salvation also equips us with supernatural gifts to edify the body of Christ and draw others to Him. The challenge before us is clear: will we take the next right step in obedience, allowing the Spirit to move through our ordinary moments to create extraordinary impact?
