Every Neighborhood Day 3.15.26
What transforms a culture of fear into a culture of faith? This powerful message takes us from 1 Samuel 17, where an entire army cowered before Goliath, to 1 Chronicles 20, where giant-slayers emerged from every corner. The difference wasn't in the size of the giants, it was in the leadership and culture that had developed. When David became king, having already faced his giant, others found courage to face theirs. This speaks directly to our communities today, filled with giant-sized needs: loneliness, memory loss, foster care crises, and families desperate for hope. We're challenged to see that culture is a combination of what we create and what we allow. When we create an environment that says 'yes' to God's calling and allow others to flourish in their ministries, we become a community of giant-slayers. The beautiful truth is that we don't need to do everything, but we're likely far from doing everything we could. Every neighborhood in our county needs the gospel, needs hope, needs the hands and feet of Jesus. The question isn't whether the giants are too big, it's whether we'll step forward in faith, knowing that if God orders it, He will provide for it. This is our invitation to move from spectators to participants in God's kingdom work.
