Seeking Jesus: Finding Healing, Hope, and Forgiveness at His Feet

Mar 22, 2026    Pastor Cale Colvin

This message centers on a fundamental truth that many of us miss: we can find everything we need when we genuinely seek Jesus. Drawing from Jeremiah 29:11-13, we're reminded that God's promises of hope and a future aren't passive gifts—they require active seeking on our part. The sermon walks us through three profound encounters at the feet of Jesus: the woman with the bleeding who found healing after 12 years of suffering, Mary who chose to sit at Jesus's feet and found hope while Martha busied herself with tasks, and the ultimate gift of forgiveness found at the cross. What's striking is the physical humility required in each story, crawling through crowds, sitting on the floor, bowing low. We live in a world that constantly sells us false hope through politics, careers, or our favorite teams. But true healing, genuine hope, and complete forgiveness are found in one place alone. The challenge isn't just knowing this intellectually; it's about taking action. Are we willing to stop our busyness, leave the dishes in the sink, pause our endless tasks, and actually seek Jesus with movement and intention? The altar, prayer, serving in ministry, reading Scripture with focus—these aren't just religious activities but physical acts of seeking that lead us to encounter the living God who promises we will find Him when we search with all our hearts.
